Grrrrr.... So, I was changing the substrate in my main tank tonight (thanks for the awesome black sand Jed!) so I took all the fish out off the tank and into an aerated cooler for safe keeping until I was done. Once I got the substrate finished, I put everyone back in the tank I noticed Rosco was swimming oddly...
Upon further inspection I noticed that one of his pectoral fins had punctured his side, and was stuck in his skin!
I captured him again (poor guy was already stressed) and when I couldn't get the skin off the fin, I gently (and carefully) snipped the skin away with scissors just enough so it would come off the fin.
He was so stressed! Poor thing, I feel so horrible! I added some salt and upped the temp... anything else I should do? I really don't want to lose him...
On the up side... him and Cooter look really good on the new substrate... heres some pics (and some of the channels as well)
