Get him mounted. When my silver died I swore a bit, then tossed him out back and bought a new one.

Sucks bro. Good luck finding another Bob.

I'm at least waiting a little while. If I want to keep the tank cycled, then I'm going to need to keep "feeding" it, which to me is a horrifying prospect. I have a few beautiful pictures of him, none of them were recent though. I just buried him. He was so amazing...

for sure..best to take your time.. best of luck..sorry for sad day..:(

look up how to make skeletal remains with fish and have the bones mounted! I just may do that when my big silver is no more. Sorry for your loss. They're prehistoric fish so why not put a dinosaur skeleton on your wall? :D

I buried him. I want to remember him how he was. I don't want to strip off his flesh. He was my only monster fish-for that matter my only fish. He was incredibly special to me, and I felt it would be an abomination to mount or skeletonize him. With some help from my dad, we made a 27 inch fish casket and gave him a good, proper burial.
