hey how are your fry doing?// I have a batch about 4 weeks old, and a batch about 11 days old... here is a pic of the older batch, and the parents.. I know the tank is really dirty.. but the little buggers won't get out of the way when I do a water change....
I lost almost all the fry. I haven't figured out how to keep them alive. Once I get wigglers, they are usually gone in 2 days. What do you do to keep them alive? Are the parents and the fry in the same tank?
I tried to leave the fry with the parents, and they ate them just like you said in about 2 days... so what I have to do is, wait until they hatch, and then siphon them out right away... then I put them in a 1 gallon container, wait until they go free swimming, and I feed the golden pearls.. 5 microns.. the stuff smells really bad and a little goes along way... I'm still losing some fry, but I'm still working on it... I also have angels in the tank as well.. 1 pair of angels and 1 pair of rams in each 20 gallon high... I have 3 breeding pairs of the bolv. rams and 3 confirmed angels pairs, with 2 more pairs I'm seeing will pair up... I also do water changes everyday, on fry tanks 60 percent, and on breeding set ups I do about 30 gallons a day.. and that's out of 195 gallons of water... I run a sump set up... I'll post a pick.....
