It sometimes takes a few weeks to treat and get rid of ich, it has a 4 stage life cycle, and only vulnerable to the treatment in 2 of those cycles (and at any one time, all 4 stages are present). If you use salt, you need to have a concentration of at least 3ppt (Parts per thousand) the water in the tank will actually taste salty, if you can't taste saltiness, ich are simply irritated not killed. Turning up the heat only speeds up their life cycle so the vulnerable stages occur faster.

As well as increasing the fishes' metabolism and so stimulating their immune system, which helps too.

Sucks to hear your Ornatum has tummy issues. That's never good with rare CA/SA's. Clout has worked for me in the past when my Micropthamus had intestinal parasites.

Thank you all for the advice. Would changing anything with their feeding help, or is there a medicated food? Only one is showing signs... should I take him out?

Seems to be a common issue with this species, because they are all wild caught. Mine still have the infection, not eating well either. Epsom salt hasn't worked and I've even tried garlic. Think I'll get the metronidazole today.

One of the life stages of ich is a dormant egglike stage waiting in the substrate.
If one fish has ich, it is in the tank, not only on the fish. Keep treating even if spots aren't visible.
