Yep that's a jade. I haven't owned one myself but everything I have ever heard about them is that they grow really well/fast and they take really well to pruning so you should be able to do a lot of work on it over the summer months.

I’m almost positive that’s a jade plant. We’ve had one in the family for over 30years on our hill.
K krichardson check this beauty out! I'm a member of a bonsai auctions group on facebook and this one just came up. Starting bid is $480 so way out of my price range, but take a look at it. It's an azalea, look at that trunk it's so damn nice looking! I would love to own that sucker. Bet it's beautiful when its in bloom.
