hmmmm, can you be more descriptive regarding the rock since I can not visually see it?

I dislike not knowing the motivation behind the question :) , but I'll still play.

No particular look , and your answer won't change my response as the representation of the rock and the nugget will both be revealed to you after you choose. I garauntee you'll be asking this question to people from time to time.

Dan Brown books.

Also, books co-written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They have their "Pendergast" series. My two favorite books from that series are probably Cabinet of Curiosities and Brimstone.

well I'm going to choose the rock, give me the psychoanalysis, and I'll tell you why I choose it.

They are. Pendergast is a very brilliant and interesting character. You can tell they do lots of research in their writing too.

The Rock and the Nugget represent the choices we make as members of society. Who we choose to befriend , trust , or love -- The places we decide to take our lives and the motivations behind them , weather it's your career , your education , or literally the place you live.

The NUGGET represents the Majority choice. everyone goes for the obvious , the tired and tried , most poeple in this catagory are followers and hive thinkers looking for ease and comfort. The very basis that society is built on. The NUGGET may be genuine , However , more often than not that nugget is just a gold painted rock.

THE ROCK represents the free thinker and the adventurer , the one that seeks value in something that isn't obvious for all to see. This is the Minority choice , the ones that leaders would choose , Taking initiative and risks because they don't feel right making a choice that was influenced externally. They look beyond the surface , and sometimes under the surface of the rock , you'll find a diamond waiting to shine. ;)

when I was reading the book descriptions they seemed to be, or at least some of them, based on real events.

Well that pretty much explained why I choose the rock. I do not consider myself a leader, but I do choose not to be a follower without good reason. My risk taking has, alot of times, lead me know where good :) , but it was always a lesson learned on my terms. One of my faults is hating being told what to do, drove my Dad crazy, and is still the reason we don't get along too well today, he should have taken more stock in reverse psychology.

Whats was your choice?

I was always The rock. I don't listen to opinions and take advice into account but still go my own way , I've been dr. phil for so many friends i'd get random calls from people i don't know who tell me I've been "reffered" and ask me for solutions to problems i've never faced. I'm usually the one my group looks to for the next move and I'm not afraid of making an unpopular choice. I stick to my guns and I trust my gut more than any other factor. I also created this rock/nugget philosophy.
