takes pretty low sinkers to pursue such a goal as they did today. "let's blow up determined race stragglers & loved ones, spectators, and people running to their rescue. include little children, babies."
 
Everyone that I know who was there , either running or as a spectator, is safe and accounted for. This whole thing is just surreal to me. Why a marathon ?? Why not a baseball game ?? And the irony that most of the injuries are to the spectators legs...those people will never run again. The picture of the guy in the wheelchair with both legs gone, lower leg bones and shredded achilles tendons just dangling there. They keep showing a clip of him being wheeled from the scene on MSNBC... Just really sucks.
 
These extremist get all our rights taken away. Fear plays into the hands of those who want our rights removed. We are not going to be a free society anymore because of these stupid idiots. They take away our emotional connection to one another. They make it so we cannot trust. It is yet another sad day! I am so sad for our country and the families of the victims. I pray for each family that they will be able to move through the pain. The pain will not go away but it will get more distant.

I am so sorry for their losses!

some vid shows his leg detail blurred but face clearly identifiable,,, other views blur his facial identity but show graphic leg. the man even more powerless- unable to consent, in most vulnerable moments.
so disturbing, the perpetrators' satisfaction at sights.
 
What a sad day for the normal citizines of ths world. Children, sisters, brothers, mums and dads enjoying and celebrating life. What is wrong with the world that there are some people who would view this an opportunity to make some form of contorted, contrived, bull statement. Rest in peace the those that lost their lives yesterday and I wish the survivors who have been physically and mentally scarred will find a way to recover and forget.
 
I'm in the uk and haven't long found out about this.

Seems like this kind if stuff is happening more and more around the world :( my thoughts go out to everyone effected by this tragedy.

Here is the problem with terror: if we tighten our security in high value targets such as airplanes and such, they can strike against other more softer targets, and if we tighten these up, they can move again.

The real trouble is that gradually we as a society lose trust and ultimately lose our way of life; and lastly, all of these security measures are very very expensive.
