  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i didn't know that clown loaches were schooling fish. how big do they get anyways? and yeah, they're a little cheaper than the "designer" plecos, some of them are sooo expensive.

D

clowns get 12" or so they say. i've never seen one over 8"... but thats still really big(if you have 3). like i said try the skunk or red fin loachs. they stay smaller.

so are you saying I can keep a blue lobster with my GT? my heart skipped a beat.

I have 2 GT's in my 75. I have 7 loaches, snowball pleco and a blue crayfish in my tank as scavengers. Seems to be working so far. I agree that a common pleco is a waste of space.

BTW: That GT in your avatar already has amazing colors! Make sure you keep that guy. :)

and was it you that took the last blue crayfish from lovely pets??? i was looking for them today to put in the tank at my school and now possibly my 55 gal. GT tank.

I keep two bristlenose plecos and 4 pictus cats to clean up the bottom, and they do an amazing job.

Hahaha no it wasn't me. I got my blue lobster next door at the petco on the corner. They were a little bigger. But yeah, you can keep a blue crayfish with your gt's. They look great under a color anhancing light. :)

Clown loaches and RTBS are great. I have to get rid of my RTBS because he chases around my platies all day.

Red tailed black shark. They stay relatively small but are territorial. Beautiful fish.

i think its down to a catfish and some kind of pleco, they had a yellow stripe? pleco at my lfs today, and clown plecos too., no pictus cats but a few others. i think a pleco will be nescessary for algae, but i hope i don't get a lazy one.....
