you people have an issue with being rude.... i'm sorry to be the A-hole however some people aren't super experienced at this and that is there reason for asking questions... people dont ask for help to be made out to look like and idiot...

not all tanks behave the same when it comes to nitrate levels.... how do u know for sure his are off??? did u ever ask about the filter? the amount of gravel that hold beenificail bacteria.... no, you didn't u shouldnt assume.... need i tell you about what assuming does?

and FYI...not all flowerhorns on the market today grow to atleast 10" i have seen some that are barley 8" and far from stunted!

kendrew-Wow!! Okay, first off even if a FH only gets to 8 inches are still too aggressive for a Cory Cat. I too don't like people who flame. However, by pointing out that people are rude is rude in itself. They are only giving their opinions. I think you read too much into what people state. Just because someone disagrees or does not like the OPs stock doesn't make them rude.
One more thing you mentioned that if we having nothing good to say not to say anything at all. Sooooo, if someone says they are going to put a Pacu, a couple of Oscars, a Dovii, and a Red Tail Cat in a 30 gallon tank we should just all shut up or say what a great idea it is to put those fish in a tank that small. LOL!! Sorry, but your statement is a bit silly.
indeed it is slightly rude to call someone out on their poor manerism..
if a person is goin to do something wrong it is fine to make them aware of thier potentail mistakes... im not saying advice isnt helpful what im saying is there is no need for multiple people to bash on the same person over and over... the fh being too agressive wasnt the issue in the original post... the issue was finding a suitible replacement.... the OP obviously knew from trial and error that the corys didnt work out....also he wasnt questioning if his tank was overstocked.... im sure he relizes that too....

Shamrock I agree with you all the way. Also, kendrew, they arn't being rude they are telling the truth the tank is overstocked. No matter how much filtration, water changes, beneficial bacteria he has the fish arn't going to be happy about being kept in such a confined space! yes midas...i am sure alot of you do know your fish...but also alot of you dont...and give advice on things that they have no idea about....
i have a tank that is similarly stocked... and NEVER had an issue.... with water balance or with aggression...and i doubt i ever will...
