Im calling major bull on that one! Youve obvoiusly never sold somthing on ebay. All you have to do is open a complanit and they pull the money up to 90 days. i had a customer tell paypal that i didnt send him everything described. i sold an engine, i stated multiple times that You need a bump start. they took my money a refunded it because it didnt come with a PULL START.

i have 700 feedback id have 1k but people never send feedback :irked:GRR rant over

Read the posts before calling bull on anything, my response was to someone saying that Paypal was the best way to send a GIFT, not buy something on ebay or aquabid or anywhere else.
Like I said I've sold plenty on ebay you wanna call bull on that too, or do you want my ebay id's so you can check?

You said "Paypal (owned by ebay) fees are a real rip-off," and I responded to it. If you "gift" money to someone on Paypal, there are no fees attached.

With that understanding, a check is not the cheapest way. There is a cost associated with the stamp to send the check. Or if it's local, the cost of checks to restock. Or if your checks are free, the cost of the ink in the pen, gas to drive, etc, etc, etc. Paypal is easy, just click and go.

But I digress; sending money to someone as a gift should only be done with the understanding that it is exactly that - a gift. By using paypal through your credit card, you have multiple layers of protection. If you gift someone a check, you still gave that money away, and it would be difficult to get that back as well (not sure why you would want to).

In my response, I should have said " You obviously understand the way business works" and that would have made it more clear.

And really, do you honestly believe you're able to stay off the grid by not having anything "track your money?" No way, no how. Embrace technology and use it. I bet there is another reason you don't use it, but that's just my opinion.
When i was growing up i was taught that i need to embody the change that i want to see. Now, i am no ghandi BUT I do think that it is wrong that as Americans we no longer have any privacy. Therefor, I do my best to avoid any services that might keep track of my spending, location, health, income etc. Given those attempts i certainly would never pay for the "service" of being tagged and tracked.

I have cut away the fat of life and live with what is essential. I don't have a cellphone, I don't have a bank account, I don't have a car so no insurance and though I pay bills and rent none of it is in my name. When I am payed I am handed cash and for the most part it leaves my pocket in the same form. I think the last piece of official paperwork I filled out was my marriage certificate.

Maybe I am not free....but i have insured that anyone wanting to invade my privacy will have to dig.

You have got to be kidding. Aquabid is as worthless as fat boobs on a bramah bull IMO!

I had two successful purchaces (50 baby bullhead catfish) from one vendor and 4 blue/gold gene morph jack dempseys from another. Both transactions worked perfectly and the fish recieved live and in good condition.

Since then I am batting ZERO! I had one delivery of shortnose gar D.O.A. The vendor did quickly reimburse the purchace price though.

The last (issue) has caused me to NEVER consider using Aquabid EVER again, and in the STRONGEST possible way suggest to EVERYONE on MFK to NEVER consider a buy from Aquabid. THEY FLAT OUT DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR SERVICE>

I purchaced 15 baby Tiger Bass from a seller with positive feedback on the sight. The seller provided constant e-mail communication for the first several weeks after the sale. One lie after the next ("I had a buddy feed live when I was away this weekend & the bass now have anchor worms"), ("I, will replace the Tiger Bass with Peacock Bass") . . .

After going back and forth for a few weeks, the seller flat out ignored all e-mails from me. I filled out the Aquabid form on the seller fraud as instructed. Again as instructed, I waited another two weeks and filled a second additional seller fraud form. Again nothing occured! Thirds time same result.

I paid though paypal, which provided exactly 0 fraud protection on this joke of a sales site, and have NO recorse except to kiss my $ goodbye!

Got to just love a site where a seller can "ban" a buyer on a whim, but a fraudulent seller can not be banned. WHAT A CROCK OF poop!

Oh by the way, I still check the site occasionally and still see good old Nick May as an active member in good stnding with Aquabid, still scamming away!

Just a word to the wise. Aquabid is 100% garbage, and you deserve to ripped off considering them as an option in buying fish.

I would love to do business with a very popular MFK vendor, however since John only seems to do business through Aquabid, I do not believe that it will ever happen.

thanks for being honest. I'm glad t have learned this lesson through an item of such insignificant cost that being said, I am going to wait a bit before giving up all hope.

lol package was just delivered about 5 minutes ago. I got some rotala ludica, water sprite, some kind of freshwater seaweed called subwassertang and two unmarked plants. I'm glad it came through.

Deep man, deep. Local library for internet?

You know Ted Kaczynski also had similar ideas... Don't send me any packages from your Montana log cabin.

lol. I have internet at my house it's vital for reading, gardening, cooking, etc etc...it's just not in my name.

as for the comparison to Ted Kaczynski he was a crazed, creppy middle aged cult member...I'm a young female who just so happens to read too much and be into organic farming not a psychopath...

Your thinking sounds just as paranoid and irrational as old Ted, he didnt start out as the unabomber either. We all try to protect our privacy but going to so much trouble to hide the purchase of some seaweed isnt exactly rational imho.

If you use other peoples credit cards to order stuff online then your lifestyle seems very contradictory to me.
