Bowfin in TX

Where is a good place to catch bowfins in tx (preferably near houston area). I would really love to catch some and drop it in my pond.

While we are at it, where can i also catch a TX gar?

dont know about texas but come up to pa and u can catch em all day long.

I go everywhere, mostly NW houston or SW houston. Hey if you want we can go to anhuac texas (near trinity) and catch us some bowfin! I heard they have alot of fish there and i want to try my luck.

I live off bear creek park btw.

take a trip down here to south louisiana. you can catch bow fin a gator gars on side the road all day.
