Bowfin

hey guys, newbie here... a couple of quick quetions. do people keep these in their tanks? if they do, are they hard to keep up? im asking because since snakeheads are illegal in the US, bowfin seems like the closest fish to it. are they aggressive? and are there different types or kinds of bowfin? i tried to search it here, but couldn't find much. one last question... where can i buy em? your help is much appreciated!
