Bowfin

Anyone know where to get some stinking Bowfin?

I'm looking for maybe one or two and can not find them anywhere except for Aquabid a long time ago!

what size? we catch them alot at the lake by my house but most are 12-15".

I tried the whole just catching my own route and never caught a single one. I talked to numerous people and most had never caught one, the ones that had said to try where they caught them and caught a lot of stuff but never a Bowfin

i live in minnesota and i have tried catching one, never have, though, ive seen people catch them before i just haven't done it, elusive fish.... cool fish though

Michigan is a good place to start looking. they are pretty abundant here in the creeks and rivers off the Great Lakes.

i just go bass fishing and end up catching them...never actually went fishing for bowfin

I can most certainly catch you an adult, but I don't know if it will survive long enough to get it to you... They are so big that I do not have a container big enough to keep it in for an 8.5 hour drive.
