Cchhcc and reverse, If you guys don't like what or how someone posts why don't you keep your comments to yourself? Its not like your a moderater. We are all trying to learn by sharing experiences about these cichlids. If you don't like what Mojarraman posts then don't comment on it and move on. Lets please be constructive here.

To be fair, if you go back and check, it was Mojarra who started slingly the mud. We had a very civil exchange of opinions until he came on board and attacked. I was very fair to the OP and to DCT (including pointing out that I have been and will be a customer). Yet it is Paul's (Mojarra's) pattern on every big cichlid board: just the hint of negativity towards DCT and he attacks. Google it! I'm serious!
Apparently he thinks his opinion trumps anyone else's. Still it's just fair to point out his possible prejudiced position given his association with DCT. But no matter how outraged he may claim to be it doesn't give him the right to spew outside the bounds of the original post without being challenged. I suppose we're all at fault here.
To be clear, I will continue to acquire livestock from DCT (in spite of Paul's insufferable rudeness and pretension).

a) Don Conkel isn't "labeling some of his fish as hybrids," unless half-truth is your normal way of expressing yourself, which it frequently (if not always) appears to be.
b) Those fish that are DCT hybrids ("labeled" as such) are precisely two in number: calobrensis x grammodes, and loisellei x Chairel carpintis.
c) So when you infer for yourself and insinuate to others that DCT "Paratheraps and Viejas are the most likely to be hybridized," your upchuck coalesces into putrid innuendo. You have nothing firsthand whatsoever, nothing but hearsay or slander to back your insinuations on. Or DO you?
3) By your adding "it's tough to know just how much of that is Don and how much is further down the line,"in professing your own ignorance, you attempt to weasel out of being held accountable for your slurs.
4) In claiming "his [Don Conkel's] ponds can get rogue fish in them at times," what evidence have you of that? Cite an example. At least one. More if you can. Have you seen Don's ponds? About how many yards between them? About how many feet high are the embankments? "Rogue fish?" What do you mean by that? Specifically what "rogue fish"?? Be specific else swallow it.
"Outrage" isn't quite what's going on.
It's outright lies and sleazy innuendos that tend to irritate, including myself and others. Opinions I could care less about. cchcc, whomever or whatever else you may happen to be, in case it escaped notice, opinions are just like a holes: everybody has one, and you're free to share yours with whomever you please. When it comes to prejudices - unlike someone who claims patronage to DCT - "Prejudices." Hm. You're the expert on that. As per "I [cchcc] will continue to acquire livestock from DCT," I'd be surprised if he'd give you the time of day. OTOH, pimp-slapping a libelous ******, I wouldn't put him above that. Can't say for sure. Only time will tell.
