Well you know Chavez_e_Chavez, keep the measly 68.00....Ill close the the claim..I just dont want to deal with you ever again...My advice to anyone buying stuff on fish forums is to learn from my mistake...

1. Make sure the item is 100% insured before purchasing it...<--which was never discussed in this thread
2. Make sure the seller use a unmarked box or flip his box inside out to prevent theft...which rarely happens
3. Make sure you paypal them and not take the gift option....Paypal will not give you back your money if you use ...
4. After item is shipped, make sure to ask for the tracking number, and the weight of the box
5. Make sure to ask seller for the exact weight of item shipped and make sure item is secured with proper packaging materials...
6. Make sure to take your time at the post office and dont rush for your item... It will always be at the post office which I learned the hard way...
7. Make sure to inspect the box, look at the weight and make sure everything feels right before letting the USPS worker zaps it with his gun, and if you have to.. open it at the post office
8. If you opened it at the post office and everything looks good.,...then accept it... if it doesnt..dont accept it...
9. DONT BE KIND ABOUT CONFRONTING THE SELLER, if you did not receive what you purchase....THEY WILL ONLY TAKE IT AS A WEAKNESS AND USE IT AGAINST YOU!
10. Report it ASAP, and gather all the needed information for your case.... In this matter... I have a family member who is a laywer who actually wants me to push to get the 68.00 back....He says by providing information such as Date occured, Name of Clerk who gave you the box, their ID number, their cell phone if theyre willing to provide it, the post office address, the post office direct phone number, and a written statement with USPS worker signature stating that YES the box you received was lighter then the actual weight printed on the receipt (which is like the one MR. CHAVEZ showned up there/thats the first time Ive seen that receipt as well)and submit those information to paypal. This will help paypal side with your case....

Im just so worned out about this matter...that I have decided...I no longer want to argue with the seller...Im just gonna avoid him in the future at all cause... LESSON LEARNED...
 
What a terrible end. I've had luck with my purchases on mfk but I'll be taking cautious steps after reading this. If its any consulation your words have been heeded

Chavez, If the so called trash was packing material you are lying. The way it is packed into the box is not effective as padding. Seems like you used it to just add as filler to fill up a box and are now trying to act like the post office or icantquit scammed you. Why would you ask for gifted paypal and why would you drop your price so low so quickly? Way too many red flags. I am almost certain you scammed icantquit.
 
Another thing, chavez, anyone can print a label with any weight they want. AND the post office will accept it. I have overestimated weight on packages before and the post office never said, "wait, you paid too much we'll give you the difference back". Nope, they take it no matter what they want the money. And why would there be a wheaties box, coors light box etc, pretty much trash, inside a package as padding? Those particular items were not padding more like filler to fill a box. You are seriously lying. icantquit don't give p keep the claim open and let paypal decide. What chavez can prove is that he sent a package but he can;t prove that he did not scam you. File the claim as "significantly not described" and tell them he sent you a box of junk.
 
From the looks of it Chavez has scammed like this before cause he knows exactly what he is doing. Printing labels with higher weight to make it look like he sent the items out. Seriously, who packages a box with a wheaties box, coors light box and other random junk? And then you accuse the post office of stealing it despite it being sealed with duct tape that does not appear to be tampered with. Who the hell are you trying to BS????
 
Yawn .. Can't you read .. I said either pay pal gift option or add % 4 fees as in normal pay pal ..nor did i push gift .. I would only accept gift option payment if i was trying to rip him off.. Tank was smaller then box , added boxes around with bubble wrap secure it so it didn't move around .. Things here are common sense .. I sent a 12.4 lb box , I have the document and the buyer can go and get same document .. .. What buyer received was not 12.4 lbs .. So something happened here .. Y'all can come down to my neck of the woods and talk in person , meet my family have a couple pops because this thread Is becoming tiresome responding to all the badgering and insults ..

Still doesn't matter about the paypal option you could still scam him like you are trying to do now by saying the post office opened it and stole the CO2 tank. So the mailman just happened to be a fish keeper that wanted a CO2 tank huh? The box/tape was NOT tampered with. The post office DID NOT scam you and icantquit DID NOT scam you either. Why would he make a thread and make all this up trying to scam you? People that scam all the time on here always come up with that excuse about the buyer "switching" fish, but in this case you're saying he is lying about receiving the item all together. In my opinion, there is enough evidence as well as your behavior for me to believe you scammed him.
