still no food intake...and all it does is sleep buried in some leaves i have for him to burrow in...

Did you try earthworms? How about some tuna fish. The smell of the tuna might trigger it to eat.
jsut straight out the can tuna...cause i tried hard boiled eggs today cause i made one for my redfoots so i thought id give him half...but no takey

any reason she sleeps burrowed all day...i put a snail in there today i found it in her burrow but not eaten just hanging out next to her...

Yep, just straight out of the can tuna. Just drain it first. I was just reading about them and it says that they are shy turtles. But will get used to people after awhile. I also read that they eat snails, lol!
if you try can cat food the salmon kind but the senior diet because it has less fat in it and mix it up with turtle pellets he should take to that but only every three days i had a shy box turtle and i read up on that and i tried it and now he devours it and i change it up once in a while somedays i mix it up with cut up vegetables with pellets and some days with cut apples and meal worms they difenatly love the change up. hope that helps.
it all does ill let you know if she eats...however i read about the snails too so when i was running with my dog two days ago i picked up a snail and put it in the enclosure...then i woke the next morn and thought it got out then yesterday i saw it in the burrow but it wasnt eaten...so idk

okie doke...i just checked and i put out tuna with some grated carrots and apples and a new lil thing of water...she was hiding in her normal spot so i took her out and placed her near the food bowls and i was waiting for her to come out of her shell and see the food and see if she would run or not so while i waited i checked her burrow it has the two snails still alive but they look like that have chips in em...
the lil missy ate a few snails and some tetra soft gel mixed with tuna and she found a home today...the dude i gave her too has a breeding trio of ornate box turtles and has a yellow head box and now the gold margine box...he was stoked i am stoked and most important the turt was stoked she now resides in a 6' by 4' area of dirt and leaves with plants and two dish to drink/wade in and its got fencing four feet below surface. so she should be good in there i forgot my camera so i could take flicks...but if he comes into the shop again ill see if hes cool with me coming by again to take flicks and check on her...he was a cool dude so he wont mind...well any way a good end to this story...
