Did you read the texts man? How many times did he "back out"? If he loved her she was a big influence. Again back to your duty to prevent harm as a citizen:

On the day of Conrad’s murder, Michelle was already seeking for attention on Twitter: “Such a beautiful soul gone too soon.” A little later she added: “I’ll always remember your bright light and smile. You’ll forever be in my heart, I love you Conrad.” She even organized a suicide prevention fundraiser in his name.

Suicide prevention?
 
Think this a dead horse when I was proven mistaken of age. at 18 you are responsible for your actions. nothing really else to say on the matter. courts take it from there.
 
guys does not matter what he did or not do, she is 18. her responsibility is to report a possible suicide. nothing more or nothing less.
 
Reading the comments under the story, some make a good comparison with charles Manson and the counselling. Those people wouldn't have killed if it weren't for him, same argument can be made here judging from the texts.

Difference may be negligible if his suicidal ideation was due to a chemical imbalance. In the jury's eyes anyway, and judging from the amount of people that suffer from depression you can count on a couple of the jurors that themselves have had suicidal thoughts, a few with family or friends with depression, and a few that have had possible experience with suicide. On top of that you'll get a few that just hate her. Would be an interesting case to see tried.
 
Hello; Just tried to do a search about the laws for reporting when you know of someone thinking of suicide. I could only find such laws that apply to professionals (doctors -shrinks and such.). Perhaps someone can come up with what the rules may be for non professional people.
 
I can find no statute to suggest she is chargeable under federal law. .

Except it's 2 years of phone records, plus phone calls and then immediately setting up fundraisers, suicide prevention etc etc. also she admitted she could've saved him in a text to another friend.
