It's too bad you're not closer. A store in Columbus has orange chromides right now. I'm planning to pick up a couple for the tank the mangroves are going in
 
Nice! I always thought white mangroves were more inland though. I see black mangroves and red mangroves by the shore everywhere here in Florida. I also vote for sheepshead minnows. They are a type of killifish in the "pupfish" family (toothed minnows). Cyprinodontidae I believe.
 
Yep I think you are right white mangroves are more inland. I am going to keep the salinity on the low end for this tank anyway so it should be OK.

Wow I never heard of that sheepshead minnow that is an attractive fish. Thanks for that tip. Do you think I could combine a small group of those with orange chromides?
 
Hey no problem! Some others get credit for suggesting it too. The males do get some nice orange and blue. That's a nice find. I was going to suggest a collecting trip lol.
 
Here's a quick update shot. I moved the planting into my 65G and I think I like this better.
