Brand New 180. Future African Tank.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yep. Used thread tape. So far here are the leaks:

Bulkhead from sump to pump.

Bulkhead from sump to drain.

Extra bulkhead in sump I had to plug.

The right side drain in the 125 I used
as a test run to get water down to the sump. (Leaks where the bulkhead for the drain meets the PVC)

And that's as far as I've gotten. I'm literally 0/4, but fixed all but the drain of the 125.

I went and siliconed around all of my bulkhead to threaded pvc connections since I work all day tomorrow. Let it cure.

Uugghhh

Hey thanks a lot Benn.

Going to get my bulkheads and new pvc list from lowes in about a half hour. The return for the 125 is going to run along the bottom of the stands and have flex hose up to the two returns.

And redoing the other plumbing for the bulkhead change won't be hard because I can keep it's same shape, just need a few couplings.

Here's the rough plan of the 125. It's going to go from the pump up to stand height, then back down to the bottom of the stands. Now to my knowledge from my hydraulics for firefighting class, the downslope will cancel the friction loss from the trip up. Hard to explain lol.

Edit: for the confusion, I'm using my already solid existing plumbing. That's why I'm going up then down with it haha.
