Your tank has almost exactly the dimensions of mine (your is 2" taller, though). Great dimensions, let me tell you by experience!
So, good luck, I will be following your build closely.

Yes I'm more than happy with the size too.
Although I think back and think I should of went 4.5 ft wide.

Well time to get the stand into place I guess....

Once it was in place I then levelled it and packed under each leg and in the centre of each cross brace.
Double checked and triple checked.
I was very happy with how straight and level the stand was.
So then I was sit back and wait for the tank.

The rest of the fish room is all but gone.
I sold the 2 racks on the left and kept the 1 rack with 5 4ftrs to just play around with.
I had Africans in all the other tanks.

Well it didn't take long for the tank to turn up I only had to wait 2 weeks from memory.
It got delivered by the tank builder himself which was a load off my shoulders.

I put black material over the foam to cut back on the reflection effect.

So when organising the tank I decided on 2 25mm bulkheads for the fills and 4 40mm bulkheads for the drains back to the sump.
So I got the fills drilled in the centre back and the drains 2 at each end on the back.

Are you going to make any sort of overflow box, or just have the drains going straight into the back of the tank? They look very close to the top of the tank.

The tank looks great though, must have been a big lift getting it onto the stand, I know how heavy the base for mine was (we built it on the stand), would hate to try lift the whole thing. You're going to have one very happy gourami!
