Do you honestly need a better source than H2O?

I think regardless of P14's and oversize leo's coming out the ban was/is sure to go back again. If there are a few people on this forum who received P14's or any of the fish that were still banned, I'm sure it's just a drop in the bucket compared to how many of those exact same fish were sent to Asia. Contrary to what many seem to think, the people who participate on this forum are barely a fraction of those around the world keeping/breeding/importing rays.

It would be in IBAMA's best interests to continually open/close the ban on rays - every time they do, they learn more and more about how to best manage any quotas, while keeping the price high for their exporters who have the permits. I wouldn't be surprised to see them open their ban on plecos every time they close it on rays to allow their exporters to continually have a source of fish in demand (wasn't it originally the ban on plecos that many thought was a big part of why they allowed rays out again?).

Just my two cents

I am quite sure they will give new quota again, only when is still not clear.
The quota dont depends only on Ibama, also ministery agriculture have to agree. And ibama already gave the ok for the new quota, so now it depends on ministery agriculture in brasilia when the new quota will released.

Is only bla bla about oversize Leopoldis and P14, it happened in beginning but now it very strict control and no exporter risk it now. Those problems are long time ago under control. P14 and bigger rays getting out of brazil in illegal ways and this for sure cannot be stopped by ibama. Same like with L46,l25,.. they get out to peru and columbia in big qtys.

Well thanks but I am not GOD, but I am the one buyer/seller on PLANET who purchased and sold more BD's then ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD. Thats correct more BD rays came thru my facility and were sold all over world then any other buyer/seller. Not including direct exporters from Brazil but I even doubt if many of them moved more rays then me being that I purchaesed from just about all of them.
