After owning for 2 weeks, the leaves developed brown holes and are now melting. They are still growing fast though.
I was thinking it's an iron deficiency. I have florin-fe.

Questions:

1. Will this help?
2. Will it affect ph?
3. How much and how often? Directions say cap full for every 50 gallons every other day. I have a 36g bow front.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like either a potassium or iron issue if not both... I would use a more comprehensive supplement like Flourish Comprehensive which supplies a wide variety of nutrients... What it sounds like to me is either something took a "bite" out of the leaves like a snail or fish, or it started with pinholes in the leaves which an potassium deficient and when it's not contained the leaves will start dying off around the pinholes.

This is why I recommend Flourish Comprehensive because of all the nutrients it supplies to plants.

Thanks! I'll check it out.

Pics might help. Just took these. The holes seem to start in the middle of the leaves. Most of the fish aren't huge plant eaters since they are earth eating cichlids. Maybe the mollies or swordtail?

What do you think is happening? Potassium or iron deficiency? I noticed the stems are starting to brown. But new leaves keep popping up and seems to be growing fast.

As mentioned, flourish comprehensive would be the best way to go. It's hard to nail down what type of deffeciency the plant is suffering when you don't dose at all, and haven't provided any water parameters.

I'll check the parameters before I do anything. Does ph and alkalinity make a difference too?
Also lighting?
