Breaking News out of Florida!!!!!

I'm talking about the woman and her significant other when I said lost his cool, not Zimmerman/Martin. Sorry for the confusion

I do not see a cut or evidence of a broken nose in the video though. Nor have I seen medical records....and the witness saw nothing that shows how the altercation started, just the aftermath but I'm beyond that story until new evidence comes out. No need to beat a dead horse.

You follow traffic laws religiously too? Didn't you sign up to when you got a license? No different then your gun permit.

Idk, I believe that if your life is threatened, or your facing serious bodily harm you should be allowed to use deadly force if the situation is unavoidable. If M was trying to rob Z, and was bashing his head in the ground, Z had more than enough right to shoot him, whether M was armed or not. But once Z continued to follow M, and exit his vehicle after calling police, he threw his self defense rights out the window imo.

Sorry I miss understood you. Look closely at the 1:06 mark. It is hard to tell either way because it is a security camera. Not exactly HD. Anyway, you're right... dead horse.

No, I use my judgement with just about everything, including when and where I carry (which isn't all the time). I speed, I hook my jeep sideways when it is raining or snowing, I offroad in places I shouldn't sometimes. However, I'm very thankful for the rights given to me, and I respect the power I carry with me. Therefore, I feel it is my greatest responsibility to act accordingly.

This right here. Plus we will never know who got physical first, it's just the testimony of someone facing prison time vs the testimony of a corpse. Maybe a witness did see M slam Z's head into the ground, but maybe, just maybe Z had the first blow. Too many maybes in this case for everyone to be happy with however it turns out.

I'll check the 1:06 mark next time I'm on a computer.

So here's my question, isn't whether or not you're in a life threatening situation be up to the individual? How can someone possibly try to get into your head and lessen or increase the threat? Our fear factor and reactions are all different.

I'm cool with people shooting an intruder or threat to thier health on their property, I've got a huge problem with people being arrested because they access the situation and deemed a warning shot or a shot to the lower body will do. That's where I'm asking people to forget what the law says and tell me what thier mind says

Could you tell me why Zimmerman would have gotten physical? It's obvious why Martin would have, but why Zimmerman? He had the police on the way. All he had to do was watch which unit Martin went into. No need to attack the guy unless attacked first...

Maybe Zimmerman attempted to detain him? After all, he said these punks always get away. Maybe zimmerman felt disrespected by martins respond when he went to talk to him? After all, he correctly identified Martin as a teen and he's an elder. Idk, we don't know how the altercation started. No witness for that

Why is it obvious that M would have started it? Z could have been trying to make an unfounded citizens arrest and M is the one who felt that his life was in danger first. Like I said, the only two people who know what was said and what actions took place are either dead or trying to stay out of prison. No one else will really know the truth.

In my mind, legally aside, you're right. A life threatening situation is up to the person being threatened. In my mind, if there is someone on top of me and is beating my head into the ground, I'm shooting. If someone is running at me or robbing my and appear unarmed, I might pull my gun and aim it at them as I back away. If they run, gun gets holstered. If they lunge, I'll probably shoot for center mass. Honestly, shooting is the dead last resort. We've been talking this out for weeks. But, what we have been talking about, from every which angle, happens in less than a couple seconds. All you will have time for is a yes or no decision. No time for what, where, when.
