Ive tried using goldfish to cycle ponds before but typically they died, and Im kinda attached to these, so there getting a pond, Id use the guppies to cycle and feed but then there is the issue with parasites.

I might or I might do a fishless cycle, how do convicts do has feeders for bullheads. Its an excuse to get a breeding pair.
I have a pond with a liner, I had a Albino Channel Catfish & three Black Bullheads in it & they never poked a hole in the liner. My pond is bigger 8'X12'X3' deep but it should not matter.
How bigs your pond? If its legal you can.....but Rosy reds work real well if you leave them in long enough to spawn a couple of times. Thanks, Ive heard that too but my biggest concern is them not getting eaten and beating up my bullhead. Im building just a basic sump filter as while the bullhead small I dont need a big filter system but Ill upgrade later. I have a 550 gph pump so the entire sump will be aove the pnd and the sump wont be full all the time, is this okay. I section will be gravel as some mechanical filtration then the next section will be bio filtration.
