Just out of curiousity...

I was reading about the asian arowana, and it was said that they absolutely cannot be bred in the aquarium. Is this true? I have seen videos of asian arowanas courting each other in the aquarium, and one video of them exchanging eggs. What would one do to breed them? Thanks

IMO - Its 110% luck and chance!

anyone have personal experience? I asked some asian people who farm them, but everything is so top secret :(

By the way, look at this comment in the video LOL

Thats nothing!!! I have seen wild arowanas on my trips to the amazon that are 9 to 10 feet long.

lol i think he ment he saw some arapaimas :)

any more comments?

cheeky bastard LOL

Mate your either going to need a large pond, or youve got a bout slim to none chance of breeding asians in a tank! check out arofanatics.com, arowanaclub.com.

I dunno..can be possible...

Whats up with those farm guys keeping everything a secret...?

I wonder what the hell do they do to the fish...that they can't tell...
