all i said was as i heard.... i dont personally see it as everyday happening, but i can see the odd racket or such going on if farm or shop was in the wrong place for example... it came from a account relayed by a friend with a shop in HK, i dont know if he was chatting **** for hype or what....

That will be Hong Kong as in China, triads come form there don't they?
Don't get me wrong, i wasn't having a go at you. gold shop on every corner here no one ever gets shot over it.
Step on anyones toes anywhere and there are risks involved, but god fathers of aro farms, cant see it myself.

they can be bred in aquariums and it can definitely be done.
it just takes alot of time because its takes very long for the aros to mature and its hard to get a pair.
also because of the aggression towards one another,they have to be kept in large numbers in smaller tanks.
which inhibits breeding but is the only way to get a pair.
its also very very costly.
imagine having to buy so many aros just to get a pair and what if they die due to aggression or something else?

Just out of curiousity...

I was reading about the asian arowana, and it was said that they absolutely cannot be bred in the aquarium. Is this true? I have seen videos of asian arowanas courting each other in the aquarium, and one video of them exchanging eggs. What would one do to breed them? Thanks

if the tank is large enough and u have 1 male 1 female theres a possibility.
