Final lesson learned, Young Jedi. Weighing a snake before breeding is ALWAYS the 1st thing you do.Ok so I just weighed my female bumblebee for my own knowledge instead of going off of what the breeder told me and he said she weighs 2500g. Well she weighs a little more than 1600. So my question is should I stop breeding her until late this upcoming season. She only had one confirmed lock should I just leave it at that? I just got a 2600g orange ghost female that is huge and chunky Imy guessing I should just breed her instead
No, slugs can be as little as half the size of healthy fertilized eggs. There is a good chance that she may still ovulate and lay, but at this point successful copulation isn't likely after 1-2 mating sessions. Possible, yes but slugs would be the best of a bad situation. If they are slugs wouldn't that be just as hard on her as her having regular eggs?
lol, are you OK?The other female is over 2500g. I weighed her because I was curious at to how much she weighs and when I saw that she was 2500 I knew something wasnt right with the bumblebeesame weight. I should've know known now I have records of all of there weight. I understand I shouldn't have been so dumb. The guy was an ass.
I don't think you look like an ass......you did good. A little impulsive, that's all. Just take your time from now on. It's not a race to get females to breeding size and breed as soon as possible. Relax and enjoy the ride getting there.Lol I think so... haha.. this whole situation made an ass out of me lol.
What's done is done, we will worry about that and prepare for it when the time comes....IF it comes. Don't waste time worrying about it that - it would be better spent learning other things and improving skill level. Too many people think admitting to a mistake and saying we were wrong is bad but it is a part of growing and becoming better. We have all been there and done that and that's why we kknow for the future. Being wrong is a GOOD thing......you can't be right until you know where you went wrong. Only after identifying a mistake can we then takes the proper steps to correct them and become right, ultimately. So this is a bad case senerio I guess so what if she does have actual eggs with baby's in them instead of duds? Is she going to be in harms way?
I made a big long explanatory post last week concerning genetics.....I can try and find it for you if you want.Yes that is true well thank you for all of your help and now I know. Now I'm trying to learn all of the het stuff. There will always be more things to learn
