Breeding bettas

I have a male and female betta together in the same 5 gallon aquarium I was wondering if there is anything special I must do for them to breed.

I'm not sure. I had a male and female together for a year in a 10gl heavily planted aquarium and they never bred. I'm curious what someone that's had success has to say.

What the temperature supposed to be

80 F, but if they laid eggs, you are good. Keep the temp as you have it.

Local fish store, Aquabid, Craigslist. If you really get into it, enter IBC competitions and then auction the fish off after the competition. (but don't expect to make money on this hobby. At best, you'll offset some expenses for fish food etc...)
