Breeding Blue Acara in 225g

Ive got an odd situation. I have a male and two females. He has good spawns with one. He spawns with the other. There are fewer eggs and less success. Might need to remove the poor performer. Ive got about 15 about the size of a nickel. There are in another tank. Need to part with a few.

Is the less performing female the bottom of the pecking order?

Most of the time. When the male is interested, the other one spends more time in the corner.

Hopefully things doesn't get complicated if you decide to remove that female.

Does the low performing female threaten the spawns or eventual fry of the good pair at all? If not, personally, I think I’d just leave them all together then.

How long did it take for the fry to grow to nickel size?

She’s not threatening. I cant remember when the babies were born. The only tank I had was a 10g. I have them in a 20g now. I’d guess they re 3 months old.
