Oh My God!!! I think from my army of big clowns i may have got myself a mating pair!!! they are doing all the usual mating rituals and when they do so they turn the most bizarre colour i've ever seen!! all my clowns are very strong coloured as i reallly dislike the greyer ones and i'll put first a pic of them normally but tonight 2 that are about 7" went off into a corner of the tank to get it on!! as you can see when one other clown tried for the menage a trois he soon got told where to go! fingers crossed we could be in for babies here :D

Those are crazy mating colors!!!!! Almost looks like they have neon lights in them. Congrats!!!!! I guessing this is very uncommon.

which ones is it?
How big are they?
If it's male and female one should be much heavier built :)

I'm not 100% it's breeding - I thought very low pH was needed - exciting stuff nontheless.

Fingers crossed for you!

Sounds like alpha being challenged by the beta male.....good luck though....

Two of mine exhibit these same colors when they are engaged in intense fighting with each other.

Awesome! Their colors make them look like photo negatives of CL's. Freaky!

I was thinking the same thing! :D

Good luck which ever way it turns out.

if it's breeding or not the colours really were unreal! they aren't my biggest loaches ( i have 13 between 6-8") so would be surprised if either is the alpha male although the biggest 3 may all be female as they are the thickest set of the 13.
