Yes you could. Silver dollars are a good choice. They are often used a dithers.

So would fei fengs work? Would my green terrors be good mates and active if i had 1 male 1 female and then some fei fengs or silver dollars?

To each his own I guess, but in my 20 some odd years of keeping cichlids I would not even describe green terrors as aggressive, when compared to dovii, umbee, motaguensis, Zonatum, fenestratus, labitum, citrinellus, festae etc green terrors can be considered semi-aggressive. Glass banging doesnt always translate to aggression, I have had angelfish and discus that would attack the glass when I went by.

I also find them to be fragile. Most of the heavy duty CA/SA cichlids can take some sparring and some rough and tumble play. I find that green terrors can't really take any abuse. I had an 11" wild caught male silver suam get his jaw completely broken by a 7" fredrichstahli. Keep in mind that the freddy in question used to spar with a slightly smaller frempongi, and neither were ever seriously hurt/wounded. But all it took was one jawlocking match with the freddy and the suams jaw was broken. This happened all in the span of 5 minutes.

The fish you mention are definitely more aggressive however I have seen green terros attack and bully similar equipped fish (like a jack dempsey) and even stand up to fish like a Midas (for a time). Compared to most fish though they are on the aggressive side in my opinion.

I was by no means saying they were angels. Compared to most fish kept in aquaria, they certainly are on the aggressive side. All I meant to point out was that I personally don't consider them aggressive when compared to the rougher CA/SA cichlids, which a lot of hobbyists on this forum keep.

I still like them though. A large male green terror with long trailing fins is a site to see.

Certain mbuna would work. Just make sure they are much smaller than your terrors. I would say just under half the size. Stay away from aggressive mbuna like auratus, chipokae, kenyi etc. You could try some blue cobalt cichlids or some red zebras. Some people will have issues with keeping african cichlids with south american cichlids due to the that fact that they live in very different enviroments in the wild. But since you are getting captive bred fish you shouldnt have any issues as all fish are raised by fish stores and wholesalers in the same water parameters and are fed the same diets.

You can put many fish in a 90g with a gt pair.
In my 80g i have 2males and 1 female. 2 firemouths male and female, 1 salvini male, two tetra cichlids (not sure what you would call them in the us. In denmark we just call em tetra cichlids)
