Breeding L200s?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So, I'm back, and to my suprise I have a few of my L200s pairing up, and claiming territories. Lots of work to be done in the wake of my absence.

I was away in olympia wa setting up a freshwater room. Had a blast. Now the plan is to keep supplying the right territories for the L200s, and attempt to get something going. Also to take down a couple tanks, 8 is too many in my little home.

Definitely something afoot! Today I observed 2 L200s together on the large log. Another swam into the area, and one that I believe is a male chased it off, and returned to his post!

have you made the caves or have some yet? is a good sign if they are pairing up, if thats what it is. the one is chased away, was it male or female??

Male chased away I think. He was back in the shadows and went into a cave. For the caves I currently just have natural caves that are made by the wood. One of the nicer caves though is claimed by my L203 pleco.

Huge set back!

This morning I woke up to a disaster. The bubbler on my 135 did not turn on last night (planted tank). It is supposed to come on right after the lights go out. Unfortunately it did not, and I lost 3 of my green phantoms so far, I can't find 3 others. I also lost one of my large aros that did not have drop eye.

that SUCKS! what do you mean by bubbler- just something to oxygenate the water. its odd, because people always say that their filter cut out and had no oxygen etc and the fish died after a day or overnight etc. ive had my filter/powerhead cut out on plenty of occasions and have had no casualties. even when have a power shortage for 3 days...
