Breeding L200s?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I want the purebreeds too, but I'm just curious as to if breeding can occur between these two. It has never been established really if they are in fact seperate species, or if they are just color morphs of the same fish.

Wild, but no knowledge as to where they are from in the Orinoco. I have gotten 2 shipments before of the L200s from poseidon aquatics, the first batch were farther south, bright green-mustard yellow, with some being b. dematoides, but most being h. subviridis. The second batch was from the north, and were very gray-washed out green, and one was very much like a L128. I'm hoping for a batch from the south again, and that the two L128s are from the middle ground where they are nice bright blue.

i prefer the bright blues, as opposed to the darker blue/black. yet for some reason, they are not as sought after. crazy :nilly:

I prefer the bright blue as well. I think they are the more sought after of the L128, but the black from the north is more common.

Well, they are here, and they are much larger than expected. The largest male is longer then a large fish trap. The big male 7-8" SL, and around 11" TL! Unfortunately only 5 of the 7 came. I did get my two L128s, and a hydro gar. I'll post up some pics in a few minutes.
