Breeding Steady Feeders

anything larger than guppies that I can breed that wont need a heater?

sword tails have a lot more mass than guppys but both will swim fast as hell if chased

are guppies easier to breed than convicts or is it the same?

I'd try to avoid the convicts, or any cichlids. i can't remember who said it, but someone pointed out the spines and bones I think. Swordtails, guppies, mollies would all be a much better Idea. They won't normally end up Poking your host in the throat.

do mollys grow fast? If so they may be the ticket!

do those breed like no ones business? like cons?

I'd suggest that mollies are your best bet. They will require a heater, but have the advantage of not eating their fry (as opposed to many livebearers), so basically set them up and let them go! Baby's will graze algae / take fine food such as first bites right away, so no hassles with hatching brine shrimp. Mothers drop young about once per month, and they are meatier than guppies. Some varieties such as sailfins are much meatier:D

I'm setting up a group as breeders for my tire track eel.

O

With convicts, by removing the fry you can easily get them to spawn about every 4 weeks. I had 3 pairs spawning in a 75g together, but 2 pair would be more realistic, when I had the setup going, the pairs actually interacted with one another and there was very little fighting.

I seen a 30g that would blow our minds... It did mine.. 3 full grown 5 and 6" males!!! about 3 to 4 other males, at least 12 females and a grip of fry!!

I was in awe!!! I asked how they got that to work... They said , Damn things are bullet proof" Back then I was still kinda liek "Whatever" LOL
