I know right?! Usually rays take a couple years to "break" but this one has been breaking since birth. Must be the hybrid genes at play.
Yeah buddy! He's growing but still a tiny little fella, he's moms first born and was barely 3" at birth. I have had newborns larger than he is now. He's still with pups, starting to accept pellets. I'm not a big pellet feeder with adult rays but I like to try and get pups to take them. I was fishing for steelhead the other day and meant to message you. I hope everything is great your way

Thank you for the support! We have been collecting and building new systems for a few years now. I agree this guy is special. His sister is a looker also. I ended up trading her for a trio of elite grade BD pups with TI/eclipse and "lines" genetics as parents. I'll share them at some point. It was an opportunity I couldn't refuse. You remember the old saying "You can never have too many Black Diamonds."
Younger siblings for this guy soon and a lot of pregnant mommas so I hope to share some more nice pups.
I've also got a great sized colony of a very rare variant/species that I'm very excited and fortunate to be working with. Once I finish building their new tanks I'll be sure to share the new bloodlines and projects over the next few months.

We are trying to do a better job documenting our breeding projects, as I have been terrible over the past few years! But it's time to start making a better effort and stop missing opportunities to share what we are up to.
