my fat lipped red devil is from the wild and beats my convict up alot, and sometimes briefly pushes around my other fish. im gonna give my convict to my friend who can care for it better but anyway my question:
why isn't my wild caught red devil eating live prey?? it moves slow and spaceship-like most of the time unless its "blasting off" to charge my convict out of the water. and the most it ever does is move slowly towards the feeder and when the feeder runs away it totally forgets it's there.
does my red devil fish have ADD? cause since i started using sand substrate, he doesnt eat his cichlid pellets properly without sucking in a bunch of sand and spitting all of it out. he can only get them as they sink. my baby tiger oscar is only 2'' and quickly locks onto feeders like an infra-red target and chases them till eaten, yet hes so much more friendly.
i cant imagine how the heck this 5'' red devil survived this long in the wild with THIS kinda hunting ethic...
