I've often wondered if it's just the size of the pond that allows a GATF (or any other monster) to get huge. Would an all-glass aquarium of the same size also allow a fish to grow the same size.

I would think that ponds cause less stress, and has a more natural feel. The only downside's you can't really see your fish in it's entirety.

just get a glass aquarium or accrylic and paint 3 of the 4 sides and just leave the front panel for veiwing. it should be as good as a pond no? any way i love the names of your fish lol totally bad ass fish with cute names ahah dont get any better :headbang2

Haha, yeah. I really love it when I tell people their names before telling them what they are. And when they come over, they wouldn't dare put their hand in water, and I'd just go "Awhhh, are you scared of Bubbles?"

Already planned to name the next Monster - Puddles. Just haven't figured out what yet. Some say I should go for an Aimara, but am still not sure yet. Was thinking maybe a VATF, but can't seem to find any on sale now.

Bubbles seems to have gotten an injury on his side (just behind the dorsal fin).
Really hope it heals ok. Any of you guys ever got scratches like this? Does it heal up fast? Anything I should do to help?
