Bufonis info + progression thread.

Did you get him online or in store as I really want one and how much was heHey everyone after many years of searching the UK I found 3 bufonis at wildwoods near London, only bought 1 but the fattest chunkiest 4+"er.

Anyone got any idea on the growth rate and is the planet catfish info correct on eating fish his own size?

Glad for you. It should reach max length of 8"-10" in 1-2 years, if memory serves. I can't imagine it would take more than 3 years for sure to stop growing completely.
They are mouthy of course and can swallow surprisingly large prey. IDK about a prey of its own size, as this is no gulper, but I'd not want to test it.
Wow. 40 pounds is expensive. I bought mine in 2009 for $5-$10. But things have changed since then.
IDK why Jaws is hung up on this rhyacoglanis ID. IIRC, Yellowcat said it is a bufonis after he had sorted out his misreading of Jaw's thread and posted pictures. For all intents and purposes, I'd be calling Jaw's cute hipster a bufonis. Or a mole. It's obsessed with digging
