Glad for you. It should reach max length of 8"-10" in 1-2 years, if memory serves. I can't imagine it would take more than 3 years for sure to stop growing completely.
They are mouthy of course and can swallow surprisingly large prey. IDK about a prey of its own size, as this is no gulper, but I'd not want to test it.
Wow. 40 pounds is expensive. I bought mine in 2009 for $5-$10. But things have changed since then.
IDK why Jaws is hung up on this rhyacoglanis ID. IIRC, Yellowcat said it is a bufonis after he had sorted out his misreading of Jaw's thread and posted pictures. For all intents and purposes, I'd be calling Jaw's cute hipster a bufonis. Or a mole. It's obsessed with digging![]()
