Building a 1500 Gallon plywood & glass tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
all sizes of clay pots are great for that, broken or whole.

Yea, I have some in there now, but I was looking for something a little more natural looking to contrast my white mixed substrate. I think I'll get some more pots and some slate (just prop up the slate diagonally against the glass and other decor for some cave effects). Thanks :)

By the way, VL, I hope you decide for a cool mangrove or wooded look with some heavy surface plants, that would look amazing. Regardless, I'm excited to see the finish

mangroves don't do so well in freshwater. or did you mean just roots like a mangrove? surface plants would look sooo good but i think they may have a tendency to overgrow their bounds and they would be difficult to keep cut back. i think alot of the fish in there would chew on them as well.

nothing new to show you .. Yet.

Wall is painted. Saturday I will move more fish in. And perhaps trim out the window, add more sand and re-arrange the rocks & wood.

Am looking for a huge chunk of wood to add, but not much around here and shipping something that big costs way too much so I don't have much hope on anything anytime soon.

Tuesday though I will have a nice surprise addition to the tank. Can't say what yet because I don't have my hands on them.

Stunning Tank... Defo try get a FRT, I have one an there awesome...

But why MALAWIS????? :screwy:

Get SA or CA Cichlid community in there!

Aquaticeco.com has case lots of malaysian driftwood. Maybe you could use nylon bolts and bolt a bunch of pieces together to form one huge piece?
