Building a 400g. holding bin.... Pictures!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's really cool man.

A couple more updated pictures....

Plywood is nailed to the bottom and will line the inside walls of the bin. I also plan on lining the inside walls with styrofoam before installing the liner.

Sweet sean. I got the bass for you. Im thinkin that maybe you should strap the top together with some metal straps. I had no idea a fireman had such carpentry skills.

:banhim:

What I actually did was pickup a couple of "Laborers" from Home Depot and had them do the building. I just sat back with a beer (in the shade) and directed them as to what I wanted..... I need all my fingers for work and don't really like to break a sweat!

BTW, I just called you back Rob.

Fine..... I'll add some for good measure. Definately put me way over budget now! Those things run like $.35 ea.! It'll be cheaper than replacing all the dead fish once it fails..... (doubt it would in it's current construction)

That's going to be really cool when you get it finished!

Thanks.... I can't wait to finish it and fill'er up with water. I'm thinking of putting some play sand or pool filter sand on the bottom just to have some contrast with the fish... otherwise it'll be pretty dark. I do have a feeling that once I'm done with this bin I'll probably just sell it after a couple of months and build something longer and bigger. (Any interested parties?)
