i have an idea on how to link them, i haven't ready the whole thing so if this is irrelavent just say so. what if you put the piece of glass on a slide almost like a divider, that way when its time to link them all you have to do is slide that piece of glass or acrylic up and it flows.

I think it's moo now mate. Unfortunatly there's not enough head room above it for that to work but would have been a winner otherwise.

ok so i didnt take the time to read the entire thread cuz im kinda jammed for time but heres an idea for filtration. if your garage has steal beams above the pond take some large filter boxes or water proof containers and put them up there. hook up the inside of those boxes with whatever filtration you want to use. drill a large hole or a couple smaller holes in the very last chamber of the vary last filter box. stick a pump in your pond and run a hose up to the beggining of your filtration unit. itll be like a sump or something up in the air, and the water falling down will provide plenty of airration for your tank

Funny u should mention that as i do have a small loft space above where the pond will be so thanks for another great idea.

The plan has slightly changed, im now using wooden 4"x4" fence posts doubled up for strengthness which will also make the build alot easier and easier to join when need be.

might wunna check with pharoah or someother people about what i said, but i dont see why it wouldnt work

I think it will most defo work dude, i would just need a really powerfull pump, then again i would need 2 powerful pumps so the turnover would be alot greater than the volume of water and judging by what u say the waterfall affect would be awsome ;) nice1 thanks dude

n/p, and plus if your holes get blogged, you aint gunna have water all over the place, its just gunna overflow right into your tank.

thats the way to do it, take the best ideas suggested and combine them all into one, what was your final decission on the temporary wall? is it gunna be all wood? all glass? half n half?

whole thing will be made from wood and the divider will be wood wrapped in pond liner as i cant find epoxy cheap enough here in the uk, basslover can ship but like mark said earlier, im too impatient :D
