building a tank for aquascape

just a little update. over the weekend the tank has bin fibreglassed with 2 layers of 2 ounce matt. and has had 2 layers of gel coat. all the holes for the drain and water inlets have bin cut out and fitted. next step is to fit the pipes along the bottom of the tank for my airline .after that i will then cover with a mix of clear gel coat and sand . it will still have the same look as sand but will be easy to clean. .
 
Wow, this has got to be one of the biggest planted tanks on this forum. Definately keeping an eye on this thread. Do you have pics/instructions of how you built this monster?

yes i have pics. will add some later . i have got a week off from work so am going to get as far as i can with the build. i have just layed the pipe for the airline .later on i will lay the sand and gel coat.. after that i have a long time of building the drystone walls inside
 
gunna look great. cant wait to see it sticked... deff get some clown loaches...
 
just some more pics. of the fibreglass and the gel coat. i only went so far with the gel as i had to add the braceing .as you can see in some of the pics i have bin around the bracing with a router. this is so i can sink my windows in so the plants and fish can get some light
