Bulkhead fitting question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
150gph is actually a pretty modest flow compared to what some people have going on here. I would say a 1" fitting is more than sufficient. If this produces too much of an overflow, you could add PVC reducers to your drain pipe to reduce the flow.

I'd be interested in seeing what others think. Is there any rule-of-thumb for overflow rates per fitting size?

An overflow will only drain what is pumped to the tank if designed correctly so there should be no need to use reducers.

What are you using the bulkhead for?

pump controls flow rate....

This thread is getting off track. He is asking what to use for 150 gph.

We need to know his application.

i say at the very most 1/2 :)
