Wondering if using a heat gun to soften up the ends to slip it on a barb would work. If not I’ll just glue it in to some fittings. Just makes me nervous

I have bought the Lifeguard ones on Amazon and they do great. They are cheap and can't beat the Prime shipping if you have it.

You could try 1.5" vinyl tubing and use Oetiker clamps to secure them over barb fittings.

All the replacement bulkheads I've ever bought have come off Amazon and other than accidentally ordering the wrong size once(operator error), I have never had a problem. I don't remember what brand I bough though.

no problems with my Amazon bulkhead . life guard aquatics I believe. they are cheap and 2 day delivery with prime. already used on 4 of my tanks without and issue.
