I dont know if it is true but didnt Jeremy Wade find some living in full fresh water where they cant get back to the sea? It was an episode of river monsters but Im not sure how true it really is. Ill give credit to Zoodiver tho. His threads are always very good reads and the pics are amazing. Maybe he knows the truth?

OMG SOMEONE DOES HAVE ONE!!! I'M VERY EXITED TO HEAR WHAT HE HAS TO SAY. I WOULD KILL FOR A PICTURE!

LOL And the fluffy joke is funny. It is a joke, right? And my mistake I had read on Wikipedia that male didn't get past 7 feet at most. I had heard female were MUCH bigger though.

I have a friend who plans on catching a bull shark for his tank. As well as a bonnet head. There are plenty of people with 50k tanks, with plenty of sharks... they just don't have enough time to waste on here. Bull shark is completely possible, and i think there are plenty more shark keepers in the world than the very few on mfk. Although the shark guys on mfk are very well educated and self maintain their tanks. These guys could get you in the right direction if your serious.

I really don't think they are overly common in the private aquaria but I could be wrong. I know of people keeping hammer heads and other large sharks but I haven't seen too many people keeping bull sharks. Also I don't think that its legal to take bulls from the atlantic under 54" anymore. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. What size is your friends tank?

Never to early to start learning about it. I don't think I'll ever make enough money to do it lol. I am planing on opening a pet shop, not a ton of money to be made there if I do it honestly. But my girlfriend is headed to college and then law school so I might mooch off of her xD

That law size makes alot of sense. No sarcasm, way to many people would buy a cute baby shark, then it would get big lol. But I think that the law is to prevent over hunting.

I have read on here not all that long ago the bulls do and have come up the Mississippi into Mo. and another guy from Austrailia see's them in a river behind his house he said but I don't think for life but absolutly long periods of time.

Its a 500g :grinno:. I think he just wants it for giggles, just a baby one. He recently just rehomed his nurse shark, he has all the connections for homing these beasts(dallas world aquarium). I know he is currently working on something big right now. The point was that i think large shark keepers are not that uncommon as we see it. (different person)I mean this guy i know has 4 LARGE shark tanks at his house and office. I plan on getting pics this week for you guys.
