Go for Dogfish? (sand sharks) Unless i tottaly screwed up the name >:0 But i digress.... They only get like 4 feet max.. I think :P But i bull shark in a tank would be cool.. but who would ever go in to clean it?

I had very real plans to own one but the deal fell through so now I am trying to figure out what to get instead. Any Ideas? Anybody?

Well I did see some in person sunday at the NJ aquarium and they where nice and fat. They look a lot like small silky sharks. silkys are one of my favorites and it was so cool the see one in person. Anyway I have too suppliers working on it and I am also going down to florida next month to see if there is any chance of me collecting my own. Also I do have a chance to maybe get a Galapagos pup. I weighing all options right now.

Go bull. There are several ways to get them.
Otherwise I'm a big fan of sandbars. Similar in look, but take to captive settingsmuch more.

that's crazy! adult bullsharks can reach over 12 feet in length and weigh in over a 1,000lbs. You are gonna have to get one HELL of a tank! LOL. i like the enthusiasm though!

Well from what I see atlantic ones need to be 54" or lager to take and I really want to start with a pup. Plus I got a price of 15000 on a gray reef from Australia so I figured I would pass on a bull from there and wait to find one here in the states. A sand bar shark from Hawaii was also an option too. I was leaning towards the galapagos cause they seem to be less common in captivity. There was also an offer on a scalloped hammer head too but I don't feel ready for one.

Matt if you could fill me in on the ways to get bull pups that would be cool:D

I know getting a bull sounds nuts but all the plans to house the shark for its life were in place.

The best way is to find someone who is getting a few pups anyway, and have that team grab one for you. Might even be able to get one that is cleaned up and eating already. ;)
