I picked up one of these dudes yesterday, I visited a shop that I was in the local area of and it was quite a nasty shop ( I will not name and shame ). The tank that these little dudes were in was nasty and I could just about see them. I was after a blue eyed red fin so when I asked if he had any he said no but started showing me other plecs he had and I just didn’t like the tank this dude was in so I said I’d take him. He told me it was a bulldog.
I have come across these before but have never really been interested.
he did inform me that they are one of the best for algae cleaning.
can anyone give me any info on them if they have kept them or if it is what he’s told me it is.
It does seem to be a bulldog by Google searching but I’m after some real life experiences people have had with them I.e eating habits behaviour tank mates and so on.

Rubberlip pleco (not to be confused with Rubber) is another common name for them. L444 should be the L number. I have 2 in 2 different tanks (guppy tank and corydoras tank). They stay fairly small and are ok for algae.
