i think kids have to soft of a skin, facebook and texting get them in trouble (they say something and can't take it back). I hate bullies. teachers need to help the kids out and kids need to stand up for themselves. nothing says don't pick on me like kicking the bully in the balls and beating him until pulled off. there is no excuse for this killing and shooting up schools bull ****!

I was bullied constantly growing up since I've always been extremely skinny for my height. It's wasn't until I started wrestling and ended up smacking around a few of them that it died down.

Do you just mean physical bullying? There was recently some insulting/bullying that went on here. A certain subject was brought up here. People insulted, condescended, and suggested the people were stupid for believing in the subject. One of the people that posted in this thread was one of the bullies. The thread was closed and none of the reasons given included bullying. I'm not sure if they were saying it was ok to bully and insult, because the people were talking about a subject that was against TOS.

I was never a bully or ever bullied anyone.. I played sports when i was in school and people just left me alone. I agree with the above, kids today are too soft.. And i've had access to guns my whole life and in school you just knuckle up.. No guns, or weapons.. These kids today just need to learn to take their licks and give some back when needed..

My son (8years old now) was on the playground at school last year and a kid just walked up and started punching and kicking a couple kids being a bully.. I was pissed when i found out my son just took the punishment because he was affraid of getting punished by me or the school.. I told him the next time that happens you plant that kid on his ***.. You haven't played football for 3 years for nothing..
Well needless to say it did happen again 2 days later and my son dropped his shoulder and pile drove his *** into the ground.. I got called to the school and the principal was shocked when i told him he did just as he was told.. If the school wasn't going to protect my son to do it himself. Needless to say my son was off the hook and they have more teachers on the playground.. :)

i think the whole bully issue is way too blown up
were raising a generation of sissies.

Instead of a bully free zone, it should be a victim free zone where people stand up to those giving them problems

We are raising kids to be pansys. The bully problem is blown waaaaaaay out of proportion

Never been bullied. I dont really have a say in this, but bullying now is ridiculous.

although i agree that there is some truth to the "raising pansies" comments, at the same time, not all kids will have the mentality to stand up for themselves. it's just not in some people's nature to be confrontational or violent even when they need to be to defend themselves

Bullying is a natural part of growing up.. I think its blown way out of proportion now with the kids now killing themselves and others but I feel that bullying both being bullied and bullying teaches valuable lessons.. I learned things when I was being bullied and later when I out grew my bullies I learned from bullying

Football was nice because I could payback any "bully" tenfold on a daily basis for 4 years. It was never bad they were just a ton of jerks but that's just part of growing up, unfortunately for them a few of us kept those hard feelings all the way back from elementary so practice was always just a little more physical. I honestly think this idea of stopping bullying now a days is ridiculous, kids need it to learn how to fend for themselves, get tough, build social skills and character. This everybody wins sissy crap with kids these days needs to stop, we're raising a generation that's always gonna be looking for big brother to solve their problems for them and it doesn't work that way in the real world.
