Burbot's Bichirs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dang your tank keeps looking better. I am so jealous!

Im jealous of you being able to have live plants... Everything in my tank is sucked into my afrowana's mouth unless its a big rock....

Thanks guys but I have to say the whole live plant think has been an adventure and eye opener. Snail outbreaks/influx of detrus worms and a current outbreak of hydra. Ultimately this experience is making me a more complete hobbiest I feel. Keeps me more involved with the tank

Current state of affairs, contemplating a java moss side wall. Say some cool plans for a mesh wall the moss grows over

The tank is coming along great Burbot. The polys are beautiful. It's great to see others going the planted route with bichirs. I find them so much more active and outgoing in a densely planted tank. Keep an eye outon Spencer Jack's website. I've picked up 5 bichirs from him in the last few years. He's had retros, teugelsi, dels and endlis all in the last year.
