Burbot's Bichirs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Burbotman Burbotman , he was an inspiration for me to keep my weeksii. Mine has been painfully shy and slow growing which almost led me to sell it a couple times early on. It seems stuck at 13" now but it is one of my favorite polys that I own.

Thanks for the interest in my tank. Biggest change since this thread was started was my sub strate change from pure PFS to a coal slag/PFS mix. I like th darker look but as expected it has darkened and hurt the contrast on some of my bichirs. Growth wise my congi is now the biggest in the tank at close to 23". The big Weeksii is around 22" my smaller weeksii is around 16". A nice surprise is my CB endi who has finally hit the 20" mark with a girth that simply blows my mind every time I look at him. I will throw up a few pics from earlier in the year. Tough to take good pictures right now as up here it is light out from 5am to close to 11pm and where the tank is located the outside light causes a lot of reflection. Here are a few to start. My giant congicus and a rare sighting. My lap, affectionately name the green serpent came out for a photo. I got him in the same shipment that I received my big weeksii back in 2009
